About: Faye Jackson has put a delicious twist on the traditional Southern sweet potato pie. She bakes the crust from scratch and uses locally grown sweet potatoes from Fondy farmers when in season. Pies may be ordered plain or topped with coconut or nuts. Fay sells both family-size and individual pies, which are perfect for snacking on while strolling through the market. Faye also makes white bean pies and squash pies upon request. In the off season, Yammie pies may be purchased at Amaranth Bakery, located at 3329 W. Lisbon Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53208.
