About: Mrs. and Mr. Thao continue the farming they did when living in their homeland of Laos. The couple arrived in America from Thai refugee camps in 1989 and started farming about three years later. Mr. Thao says it is his favorite activity and will continue to farm as long as he is physically able to do so. The couple has a tractor for plowing, and continues to do much of their farm work using hand tools. They are assisted at Fondy by several of their eight children.

Specialties: a variety of annual fruits and vegetables, featuring broccoli, cauliflower and melons. Mrs. Thao also brings some beautiful flower arrangements to Fondy.

Currency Accepted: cash, Food Stamps/SNAP, WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers
