Taste the Season: Coastal Kenyan Cuisine
Taste the Season takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
Join Guest Chef Fouza Yusuf as she demonstrates how to prepare popular dishes from Kenya's distinctive coastal cuisine. She'll cook carrot rice along with greens and tomato-based sukuma wiki using an assortment of fresh vegetables grown by Fondy farmers. Stop by for a scrumptious sample and advice on cooking Kenyan!
Youth Booth: Pumpkin Seeds & Gourds
Youth Booth takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
As summer turns into fall, pumpkins appear at the farmers market! This Saturday, kids can come to the Youth Booth to taste seasoned pumpkin seeds. In preparation for Halloween, they'll also get to paint their very own mini pumpkin gourds.
Music at the Market: Vasic's Jazz Swans
Jazz Trumpeter Plamenko Vasic returns to Fondy for an encore performance with his group, Plamenko Vasic's Jazz Swans. Patrons enjoyed his other ensemble, The Rebirth of Cool, earlier in the season. Experience the bluesy jazz stylings of the Swans, whose influences include Miles Davis and Duke Ellington, this Saturday from 10:30am - 12:30pm at Fondy.

The Art of Food: Slow Food Fundraiser
You're invited to celebrate and support those that have worked hard to put local, fair, and good food on our tables. Join Slow Food Wisconsin Southeast (WiSE) for an evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres, world music and art in support of local food projects, biodiversity, and this year's Terra Madre delegates, Sharon and Larry Adams of Walnut Way Conservation Corp. and Jennifer Casey, who works on biodiversity issues.
