Take the Eat Local Challenge!
Milwaukee's Eat Local Challenge takes place the first two weeks of September. The Challenge encourages people to increase their consumption of local food. Eating locally helps the environment, the local economy and our community. Plus, local food just plain tastes better! For information on resources and events, including the culminating "Haymarket Days" festival at Fondy on September 11th, visit the Eat Local Milwaukee website.
Popcorn Results: Stove Top vs. Microwave
On Saturday, August 7th, Fondy's Youth Booth taste testers determined that the choice is obvious: stove top popcorn is better tasting than microwave popcorn. Stove top proved to be the most popular by a vote of 38 to 18. Did you know you can make your own stove top popcorn with locally grown popping corn from Fondy's own Craigland Farms? Be sure to visit Fondy's Taste the Season webpage for Perfect Popcorn recipe and topping ideas.
