Taste the Season: Southern Chili
Taste the Season takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
Saturday, October 1st is World Vegetarian Day! A low-fat vegetarian diet is a good way to reduce your risk of heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and some forms of cancer. Join Milwaukee Area Resources for Vegetarianism members Jody Johnson and Louise Quigley as they share a recipe for Southern Chili at the Taste the Season tent. Cooked in one pot, it is a low fat, high calcium, great flavor delight!
Youth Booth: Fondy Says, "Be a Pear..."
Youth Booth takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
Kids, stop by the Youth Booth for a market version of the popular game Simon Says. Stay warm and get some exercise by forming the shapes of your favorite market produce.

Walnut Way Harvest Day this Saturday
After finishing your weekly shopping at Fondy, head on over to Walnut Way's annual Harvest Day this Saturday, October 1st from 12pm to 4pm. Walnut Way is a community-based organization and Fondy vendor selling honey and produce grown on land located just a few blocks southeast of the market on 17th and North Avenue. Join them to celebrate the season's successes, to prepare for a new year of possibilities, and to recognize the strength of the Lindsay Heights community. The afternoon will be filled with a parade, children's activities, poetry, dance and exercise demonstrations, good food, local products for sale, silent auction, music by Ahvant Soul, resource fair, and so much more!
