Taste the Season: Salvadoran Pupusas
Taste the Season takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
Heather Deaton, an avid Fondy customer and foodie will demonstrate Salvadoran Pupusas, which she learned to make on a mission trip to El Salvador with her church. Curtido de Repollo - a traditional Salvadoran cabbage salad - and Pupusa Salsa will accompany the pupusas. Stop by for a taste, recipes, and to learn more about Salvadoran cuisine.
Youth Booth: Awesome Apples!
Youth Booth takes place Saturdays, 9am - noon
Did you know that Fondy has over 20 varieties of apples in a given season, and that over 7,500 cultivated varieties of apples exist worldwide? Stop by the Youth Booth to sample varieties currently in season, including Gala, Cortland, McIntosh, Ginger Gold, and Wolf River. Explore their different tastes, and then vote for your favorite! Stick around for some fun apple coloring activities.
Music at the Market: Blowtorch & Thompson
Music at the Market is Saturdays, 10:30am - 12:30pm
Well-known Milwaukee musicians Eric Blowtorch (vocals, electric guitar) and Damion Thompson (percussion) will come together to perform a variety of rhythmic originals and a few ballads. For a preview of Eric's music, visit his myspace page.
